EXOS2-GT USB PC Interface Cable allows you to connect the BRESSER EXOSII GOTO EQ handset to the USB port of a PC or laptop using the new Bresser Driver that is compatible with ASCOM to operate the mount using Windows navigation software via ASCOM.
Also EXOS2-GT USB PC Interface Cable is designed to control your computerized telescope from a laptop or PC through various programs of the planetarium.
Unlike the standard EXOS2-GT CABLE SET, for EXOS2-GT USB PC Interface Cable, a serial port adapter is not required.
Using this USB cable, you can upgrade the EXOS2 TO EQ manual controller firmware to version 2.3 and work in conjunction with the new ASCOM compatible Bresser driver to control the mount using Windows navigation software via ASCOM.
The USB interface cable is used with the Bresser Goto control system for equatorial mounts, which is supplied as standard equipment for the BRESSER and Explore Scientific exos-2 mounts.
Connecting a computer to your telescope will also allow you to move the telescope from different planetarium programs! Today, there are many programs available that not only display the night sky, as it appears on any chosen observation night, but this will allow you to send your telescope to any object on the screen at the touch of a button.

PL2303GT USB to RS232 Bridge Controller
The PL2303GT is a low cost and high performance USB-to-RS232 Bridge Controller with built-in RS232 transceiver. The PL2303GT provides a convenient solution for connecting an RS-232 full-duplex asynchronous serial device to any Universal Serial Bus (USB) capable host. The PL2303GT highly compatible drivers could simulate the traditional COM port on most operating systems allowing the existing applications based on COM port to easily migrate and be made USB ready.
The PL2303GT integrates a high baud rate RS-232 transceiver that meets the EIA/TIA-232F and CCITT V.28 communications interface specifications. The RS-232 transceiver is a 3-transmitters and 5-receivers device with a high-efficient charge pump circuit embedded. It provides the bipolar output to the transmitters, and makes the transmitters to deliver the RS-232 output voltage levels. Under normal operation, PL2303GT operates at very low power consumption with guaranteed data rate up to 1Mbps.
